"The City of Two Souls"
Imperia has a unique history because it was founded by royal decree in 1923, uniting Oneglia and Porto Maurizio. Oneglia is the most modern part of Imperia. As the beating heart of olive oil production, it was only natural that the Olive Museum, commissioned by the Carli brothers, should be located here, with an exhibition space dedicated to the thousand-year history of olive trees and the production of the nectar extracted from them. Porto Maurizio is the oldest part of Imperia, a labyrinth of narrow streets, alleys, “caruggi” and “creuze” that climb almost vertically up the rock, creating a very evocative atmosphere. The marina attracts thousands of visitors every two years for the Vele d'Epoca (Vintage Sails) event.
Situated on a hilly area, the Le Mimose farmhouse is immersed in the countryside cultivated with olive groves and mimosa trees. Just 3 km from the sea, it offers a relaxing holiday in the beautiful Ligurian inland.
Residence in the hills of Imperia porto Maurizio, in a sunny and relaxing position, suitable for families who love nature and sport, ideal starting point for excursions inland.
