Ceriale is a characteristic village that belonged to the bishop of Albenga before becoming a podesteria of the Republic of Genoa. It is distinguished by a fortification built in 1564 to defend against Saracen attacks, as well as a watchtower. In summer, as an alternative to the beach, there is the famous Le Caravelle Water Park, located on the first hill, which is unique in Liguria.
