The Sanctuary of the Madonna Santissima del Monteregale or, as we used to say, of the Madonna del Mondovì in Vico (later Vicoforte) is a grandiose monument of art and faith set among hills, mountains and plains, with a bold elliptical dome, the fourth largest in the world. It is located in the former Cistercian monastery, which has been restored and adapted in recent years. The unaltered monastic style, with frescoed corridors and stone stairways, offers guests an atmosphere of peace and recollection, ideal for a quiet and relaxing time in the shadow of the imposing basilica.
